Laser hair removal, one of the most innovative treatments we have available at Clinink PMU and Laser Clinic, uses a concentrated light beam to rid clients of unwanted and unwelcome hair growth. During the procedure, the hair’s pigment (melanin) absorbs this light which then converts into heat. This will damage the follicles, which produce hair, to delay premature hair growth.
While this treatment doesn’t stop growth completely, it significantly inhibits it.
Bianca can offer hair removal treatments to clients in the following areas:
Coulsdon | Caterham | Surrey | Sussex
A client will need multiple laser hair removal treatments initially, in addition to maintenance in the future. This is a practice that has proven to be best suited to those with lighter skin tones and dark hair but, as many previous visitors to our clinic will confirm, this form of hair removal works for all other skin types.
This treatment, aimed at clients who want to reduce unwanted hair growth, is commonly used to target the legs, under the arm, the upper lip, the chin and, of course, the bikini line. Clinink PMU and Laser Clinic can, however, treat any area on the body with the exception of the eyelids. Unfortunately, laser hair removal treatments are not suitable for anybody with tattoos on their skin.
Laser technology deliberately damages the follicles but not the skin itself.
Importantly, this form of hair removal is pain-free but, as you might expect, it is advisable to consider the associated risks before committing to a treatment. Bianca will create a pre-treatment and aftercare plan based on the skin type and hair colour to minimise the likelihood of experiencing any side effects.
The most common risks associated with laser hair removal include:
While there are rarer side effects to consider, Bianca only makes professional recommendations for suitability based on your personal hair and skin type.
Clinink PMU and Laser Clinic will invite you in for a skin consultation prior to an appointment for laser hair removal. Here, we will review your medical history, discuss the risks, take photographs for a before-and-after assessment, and take the time to listen to your own expectations of what we can do for you.
You will also be given advice on post-treatment skin care to include:
If you use blood-thinning and anti-inflammatory medication, we recommend that you consult with your GP before attending our clinic for a treatment.
Do not use tanning beds for at least 6 weeks after the treatment date.
Clients from Coulsdon, Caterham and all surrounding Surrey and Sussex areas can use Clinink PMU and Laser Clinic for laser hair removal with confidence. Be aware that results are not instantaneous and hair sheds over the coming days and weeks. Because hair growth and hair loss occur in cycles, a repeat visit to our clinic will help in managing new-growth stages in the follicles.
